Legal information

Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to journeys offered under the Taste & Wonder Slovenia brand and form part of the contract between Grilc Tours d.o.o. and the traveller.

Last updated: 14 August 2026

1. Tour operator

Grilc Tours d.o.o.
Planina 22, 4000 Kranj, Slovenia
Email: info@slovenia-cycling.com

In these terms, “we”, “us”, “the Company” or “the Agency” means Grilc Tours d.o.o.; “traveller” or “client” means the person making or participating in the booking; and “journey” or “package” means the services included in the confirmed offer.

2. Inquiry, offer and contract

  • An inquiry is not a booking and creates no payment obligation.
  • We respond with a written offer describing the itinerary, price, inclusions, exclusions and traveller information.
  • The traveller must review the offer and report errors within seven days of receipt.
  • A contract is concluded when we receive the required 30% deposit, unless the offer states otherwise.
  • The person making a group booking confirms that they are authorised to provide the participants’ details and communicate on their behalf. For minors, the applicant confirms that an authorised adult accepts responsibility for them.

3. Payment

  • A deposit of 30% of the total package price is due when the booking is confirmed.
  • The remaining 70% must be received no later than 15 days before departure.
  • For bookings made less than 30 days before departure, the full amount is due at confirmation.
  • A payment is considered made when the full amount reaches our bank account. Bank fees are the traveller’s responsibility.
  • If payment is not received by the deadline, we may cancel the booking and retain the deposit in accordance with these terms.

4. Prices

Prices are stated in euros. The confirmed offer specifies what is included. We may change the price before departure if unavoidable changes in transport, fuel, taxes, accommodation or other supplier costs occur. If an increase exceeds 10%, the traveller may cancel within 48 hours of notification and receive a refund of payments made. If the traveller does not cancel within that period, the change is considered accepted.

5. Included and optional services

Only services expressly listed as included in the confirmed offer form part of the package. Flights, insurance, meals, drinks, transfers, admissions, gratuities or optional activities are excluded unless specifically stated. Services paid directly to a third party are governed by that provider’s terms and are not part of our package unless the offer says otherwise.

6. Traveller responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and complete personal and travel information.
  • Carry valid passports, identity documents, visas and any other required documents.
  • Assess personal health, mobility and ability to participate in the planned activities.
  • Follow local laws, safety instructions and reasonable instructions from guides and providers.
  • Behave respectfully and avoid endangering people, property or the delivery of the journey.
  • Arrive on time for arranged services and activities.

We may refuse or discontinue a traveller’s participation where their conduct creates a material safety or operational risk. In such circumstances, unused services are not refundable.

7. Health, dietary requirements and insurance

Travellers are responsible for assessing their health and arranging appropriate travel, medical and cancellation insurance. Dietary requirements, allergies, mobility restrictions and other relevant needs must be disclosed before booking. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate them but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or that every request can be fulfilled by independent providers.

8. Traveller cancellation

Cancellation must be submitted in writing by email or post. The date on which we receive the notice determines the applicable fee:

  • 45 days or more before departure: the 30% deposit is retained;
  • 44 to 30 days before departure: 40% of the total package price;
  • 29 to 20 days before departure: 50% of the total package price;
  • 19 to 15 days before departure: 80% of the total package price;
  • 14 days or less before departure: 100% of the total package price.

If a traveller leaves a journey after it has started, no refund is due for unused services. We may retain up to 5% of a calculated refund to cover bank transfer costs. We strongly recommend cancellation insurance.

9. Changes by the organiser

We may change the order of the itinerary, accommodation or individual services where weather, availability, safety, supplier changes or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control require it. We will seek a suitable alternative of comparable character and value. Minor itinerary changes do not entitle the traveller to compensation.

If the planned accommodation is unavailable, we will arrange an alternative of a comparable category where reasonably possible. Material changes will be communicated without undue delay.

10. Force majeure and organiser cancellation

We are not liable for failure or interruption caused by extraordinary and unavoidable circumstances, including severe weather, natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, strikes, border restrictions or official measures. Where such circumstances require a change or cancellation, refunds and alternatives will be handled in accordance with applicable mandatory law and the recoverable amounts from suppliers.

11. Independent suppliers and liability

Accommodation, restaurants, transport, tastings and activities may be provided by independent suppliers. We remain responsible for performing the package to the extent required by applicable law, but are not responsible for loss caused by the traveller, an unrelated third party, or extraordinary and unavoidable circumstances. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Luggage and personal property

Travellers remain responsible for money, documents, valuables and personal belongings. Where luggage transport is included, luggage must be securely closed and clearly labelled. Unless otherwise agreed, the allowance is one suitcase up to 25 kg and one smaller bag up to 10 kg per traveller. Excess or unusual luggage must be agreed in advance.

13. Complaints

A problem should be reported immediately during the journey so that we have a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. A written complaint with a clear explanation and supporting evidence should be sent within two months after completion of the journey. We aim to acknowledge or respond within eight days and will investigate the matter without undue delay. Any compensation is assessed under applicable law and is normally limited to the affected service, except where such limitation is not legally permitted.

14. Personal data

Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by Slovenian law. The parties will first seek an amicable resolution. Any mandatory consumer rights and rules on jurisdiction remain unaffected.
